We’ve just added another enhancement to ANZ Internet Banking – the ability to see all your statements online. You can now view and download up to seven years of statements as PDF’s. On top of this, you can also view and download your latest Tax Certificate.

Where do I find my latest statements?

To find your Online Statements simply open the account you wish to see a statement for and click on the “statements” tab. This tab will show the latest 6 statements for that account. Then click view or download on the statement you wish to see.

What about my old statements? And Tax Certificates?

All your older statements can be found in the “Document Library” in the “Messages & documents” menu in the main Internet Banking menu. Remember you can view up to seven years of statements. This is also where you’ll find your latest Tax Certificate. We’ll be adding more documents online in future updates, such as term deposit and home loan advices.

Time to turn off your paper statements?

With statements now online, you may wish to switch off your paper statements. Use the “Statement options” service in the “Your settings” menu in Internet Banking.

 More information

Check out the video overview of the changes below. Don’t forget you can also view our step by step guide for Online Statements explaining how this works at anytime by clicking on the Help icon within ANZ Internet Banking.

Still to come – immediate payments between ANZ accounts.

We haven’t forgotten immediate payments between ANZ accounts. We know how important this is, and we’re still working on bringing these to you as soon as we can. We appreciate your patience while we make the technical changes required.

We're also working on a number of other improvements based on feedback from our customers,  such as future dated funds transfers and reordering of accounts, so keep an eye out for further changes.

Hello, sorry for late feedback about your new on line setting up. I just said to myself, wow, cool, when I was log-in on first day of your new on line set-up. very very impressive on your new on -line banking . When I moved my bank from A bank to NB(now ANZ ) 3 years ago, I felt your online system was not convenient, not well organized. But this time , very very good to use. Now when ever I login online banking, I feel very convenient, very smooth to sort out my banking jobs. Thanks team who worked very hard for this happened. I can see hard works done here.

The concept of online statements (that are uneditable and meet audit standards) is fantastic and I will turn off my paper ones once I am able to see them. No more stress as I try to pull them together for the accountant and can't fine one from 11 months ago... However, when I try i keep getting a long wait then an error message telling me to come back later. I'm sure you're still ironing out the wrinlkles in what must have been a huge project to go live with. Well done on tackling it.

Hi Ciju at the moment there isn't a way to code your transactions in Internet Banking. This is something we're looking to add to our future enhancments.
Jen | Thursday 18 April 2013

Good start to catch up with what we expect from a bank these days, however, there is no option to adjust the format of the file to download - my budgeting software needs a .csv file or similar - meaning that in order to keep my finances up to date I would have to manually enter each tranaction into my software program! Can we please have an alternative download option asap or a budgeting tool from ANZ? Thank you in advance.

Hi Jen thanks for your feedback. You can't adjust the format when viewing or downloading your online statements. You can download and export your transaction history and adjust the file format into CSV, QIF or other formats used for accounting software packages. Just use the 'Search your transactions' option on the 'Transactions' tab, click 'Export' and select the date range and file format you want to download.

A very good enhancement. Love your new website.

It would be great if the credit card statements can have a running balance after every transaction just like the normal bank account statements. Currently, it's such a nuisance, having to add up individual transactions if you want to know what the running balance is after an individual transaction. Plus, it would be great if the system would recognise any lump sum payments made to the credit card account and adjust the monthly direct debits acccordingly like it used to before the system changed.

Hi S thanks for the feedback. We know customers find some of the credit card features in Internet Banking limiting. We're working on making improvements to this in the future so watch this space.

Thank you for this update, and the opportunity to make suggestions. Because this is a TRUST ACCOUNT the Trustees have been looking at ways to improve security and safety for the treasurer. Is there a process/enhancement to have a TWO PERSON involvement similar to that used in a business banking situation ? Thanks

Hi Waiareka Youth & Ministry Trust thanks for your feedback. In Internet Banking we don't currently have a multi signatory solution for customers. If you need a multi signatory service we do offer ANZ Direct Online. To find out more about this service you can visit www.anz.co.nz, call us 0800 269 296 or visit any ANZ branch.

Great initiative - please correct me, I thought IRD can go back 10 years in an audit so before I turn off paper statements I need access 10 years statements without a fee per statement

ANZ Internet Banking Team | Monday 22 April 2013
Hi Rohan thanks for your feedback. We are obliged to hold copies of statements for 10 years but not necessarily online. The rules are that a person needs to keep everything for 7 years but if the IRD requests it, then an additional 3 years maximum may be required. They must make the request within the expiry of the 7 years. If you have missplaced your statements and they're not available online you can call us on 0800 269 296 or visit any ANZ branch to request a copy of your historic statements.
Stuart | Wednesday 17 April 2013

Great enhancment; just what I was wanting for archiving - well done. My only comment is that when you select a batch or a whole year the statements are sorted descending (ie. Dec to Jan so the running balance does not flow in the pdf). It would be great to have the option to sort ascending (or do it by default as I suspect most people would want it in that order when one pdf document is generated). Thanks again.

Hi Stuart thanks for your feedback. Giving customers the option to sort their statements in an ascending or descending order is something we'll look into for a later release.

Welcome improvement but fail to understand why paper statements can't be switched off for all accounts (credit card/loan) as other banking/financial institutions/utilities seem to be able to do .pdf statements.

ANZ Internet Banking Team | Thursday 18 April 2013
Hi Brenton thanks for you feedback. Due to our requirements under the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act 2003 we're not able to stop your paper statements on any lending accounts or accounts with overdrafts. We are looking to bring this enhancement soon.
Bob Mackay | Wednesday 17 April 2013
A piece of legislation called "Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act 2003" prevents them from stopping credit-based statements. Under section 18 of this act, it states that: * Revolving-credit contracts (credit cards, flexi home loans, overdrafts, etc), must provide "continuing disclosure", at a maximum of every 45 working days. * Every 6 months for all other credit contracts.

because some of us have unreliable computers or internet connections, and also hardcopies are easier to work off when doing your tax return and useful for supplying to other agencies eg WINZ, etc when necessary
david | Tuesday 16 April 2013

Rebecca | Tuesday 16 April 2013

I would like to recieve a receipt number, when i make a payment so i can be sure payment has been processed. It also helps to have a receipt number when i pay the bills but someone else is doing the data entry. I would also like to be able to view my past payments. I think the new anz nz online is too basic and i prefer the old site which is similat to the australian one.

Hi Rebecca great to hear your feedback. We made some changes to Internet Banking earlier in March so you can print or save your payment details for your records. You can also hide your personal details on this payment record and email it to the person your paying.
Robyn | Monday 15 April 2013

Great to have a statement that looks like a statement. Now, how do I get a statement with the date range that suits my business ie from the first day of the month to the last day of the month. I dont want statements that start two days into the month and end part way through the next month.

Good changes but still quite a bit behind other banks - not \"Track My spending\" type budgeting facitilities - ANZ Go Money is way behind other banks - so keep the changes coming
