Tools & FAQs

Your home is likely to be your biggest asset, so it's important that you have enough cover to protect it. It’s your responsibility as a homeowner to provide sum insured amounts for your house and contents insurance. They need to be sufficient to cover the total replacement costs for your particular home and contents, otherwise there’s a risk you could be significantly underinsured. If you are insured with ANZ, you will also miss out on getting full replacement protection if you don't estimate and personalise your sum insured.

Don’t assume the default sum insured from your insurer is accurate; use the House insurance calculator* to work out your own and inform your insurer.

(If your ANZ Insurance is underwritten by TOWER please use this calculator).

Tip: Print the Calculator Guide PDF and fill it in walking around your home. When it's complete, enter the answers into the online calculator to get your estimate. Or you can bring your completed guide into any ANZ branch where we’ll be happy to help.

See About the calculators for more information.

Updating your insurance

Once you've completed the House insurance calculator or the Contents insurance calculator (or both), please update your sum(s) insured with your insurer.
