Terms and Conditions


Eligibility

  1. Entry to the ANZ Join our Team promotion (the "Promotion") is open to any person who is aged 18 years or over on 01 January 2018 and residing in New Zealand (the "Entrant").
  2. The Entrant must:
    1. be able to travel from New Zealand to the Gold Coast, Australia on 02 April 2018, returning 17 April 2018;
    2. have a valid passport and visas (if applicable) for this travel;
    3. hold a valid New Zealand driver’s licence; and
    4. have no criminal convictions.

Promoter and Organiser

  1. The promoter and organiser of the Promotion is ANZ Bank New Zealand Limited ("ANZ").

How to enter

  1. The Promotion commences at 9.00am on Monday 22 January 2018 with the last date for entries being Sunday 04 March 2018 at 11.59pm.
  2. To enter, Entrants must visit anz.co.nz/joinourteam and fill in the online entry form.
  3. The following entries shall be deemed invalid:
  1. incomprehensible, incomplete or duplicate entries;
  2. any entries that infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party or that are plagiarised;
  3. any entries that do not comply with these terms and conditions.
  1. By submitting an entry, the Entrant is deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions. ANZ may amend these terms and conditions or cancel the Promotion at any time.
  2. All entries become the property of ANZ.

The Prize

  1. There are six prizes available.
  2. The prize consists of the following experience:
  1. an official role in the New Zealand Commonwealth Games Team as a Team Services, Social Media or Driver;
  2. attendance at an official team welcome function on Tuesday 03 April 2018;
  3. flights for one adult from Auckland to the Gold Coast on Monday 02 April 2018, and then returning on the team plane on Tuesday 17 April 2018;
  4. fifteen (15) night’s hotel accommodation in the Gold Coast at the QT Hotel (breakfast included);
  5. tickets to a limited number of Commonwealth Games events selected by the New Zealand Olympic Committee, to be used during the winner’s personal time;
  6. NZD 2000 to be deposited into the winner’s nominated bank account to cover general expenses during the trip;
  7. return transfers between the Australian airport and the Australian hotel.

The prize does not include Frequent Flyer points, travel or personal insurance, transfers to and from New Zealand domestic airports, transfers to and from sporting events during personal time, departure taxes, meals and beverages and any other costs not detailed above.

  1. No remuneration will be paid for the work undertaken by the winner. The role must be carried out on a volunteer basis.
  2. The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash. Any elements of the prize not taken will be forfeited.
  3. ANZ may substitute an alternative prize of equivalent value without notice in the event the prize or part of the prize becomes unavailable.

The Selection Process

  1. The winners will be selected by ANZ and the New Zealand Olympic Committee at their sole discretion, after completing their selection process. This process will include an interview and the provision of further application information. The winners will be selected on or before Monday 12 March 2018 and will be notified by Thursday 15 March 2018. If the prize winner cannot be contacted within this 3 working day period their prize will be forfeited without compensation and another prize winner will be selected from the remaining entries received.
  2. Within 3 working days of receipt of notification of winning the prize, the prize winner will be required to:
  1. provide any information requested, including a copy of their passport, driver’s licence, information for a criminal convictions check and any other information that may be relevant to the prize delivery;
  2. confirm their understanding and acceptance of all aspects of the prize, including the obligations of their role within the team.
  1. If a prize winner is unable to commit to their place on the NZ Commonwealth Games Team or provide the required information within 3 working days of notification, their prize will be forfeited without compensation and another prize winner will be selected from the remaining entries received.
  2. ANZ’s and the New Zealand Olympic Committee’s decision regarding the prize winners is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  3. The prize winners will receive a full itinerary containing all the required instructions pertaining to the prize experience at least 10 days prior to departure.
  4. ANZ may terminate the prize at any time if ANZ or the New Zealand Olympic Committee determines that the prize winner has not carried, or is not able to carry, out their role to an acceptable standard or has engaged in inappropriate conduct during the travel period.

Privacy

  1. The information provided to enter this Promotion will be held securely by ANZ and will be used for the purposes of administering the Promotion (which may include disclosure to agents of ANZ). Entrants have the right to access and request correction of this information by emailing nzolympicenquiries@anz.com
  2. By claiming a prize, the winner:
  1. agrees to participate in promotional activities relating to the Promotion, including but not limited to photo shoots, video recordings and social media activity;
  2. consents to ANZ and the New Zealand Olympic Committee making use of their name(s) and any photograph(s) and/or video recordings relating to the Promotion for publicity purposes as determined by ANZ and the New Zealand Olympic Committee, including on social media.

Liability

  1. Neither ANZ (including its related companies) nor the New Zealand Olympic Committee shall be liable for any loss, damage, personal injury or death whatsoever (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss), which is suffered or sustained arising out of or in connection with the Promotion, the taking or using of a prize, or any act or omission (whether negligent or not) of ANZ, any of its associated agencies or the New Zealand Olympic Committee, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
  2. ANZ assumes no responsibility for any failure to receive an entry as a direct or indirect result of a technical problem of any kind or internet malfunction. Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt into the website database of ANZ, not at the time of transmission by the Entrant.
  3. Where goods or services are supplied by third parties, ANZ does not warrant the quality of those goods and/or services or the suitability for prize winners’ particular circumstances. To the extent permitted by law, ANZ excludes liability for any loss suffered as a result of the use of those goods and/or services.
  4. Tickets to the 2018 Commonwealth Games awarded as part of the prize must be accepted as awarded and are subject to all of the applicable terms and conditions prescribed to such tickets from time to time by the New Zealand Olympic Committee for the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Such terms and conditions are contained on the back of the physical ticket (once issued) and include prohibitions against any use of the ticket in connection with any commercial promotion or contest (without the consent of the New Zealand Olympic Committee) and the unauthorised sale of the ticket in excess of face value of the ticket. By accepting tickets as a part of the prize, the holder is deemed to have accepted all of the applicable terms and conditions.
  5. These terms and conditions are to be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand.
